OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
-
Pediatric occupational therapy is centered on supporting children in developing the critical skills they need to carry out their everyday lives, improve their functional participation, and maximize their overall independence with their daily routines.
-
Pediatric occupational therapists are experts in analyzing and designing activities to help children of all ages and with a variety of needs. They seek to figure out the origin of developmental delays or limitations.

Re-evaluations are conducted approximately every 12 months, and progress is reported every 6 months.
- One-to-one occupational therapy sessions take place at Positive Synergy. The OT works directly with the client to address treatment goals in a variety of structured and unstructured tasks, activities, and settings.
- ABA providers (i.e. BCBA and/or RBT) often participate in occupational therapy sessions. This allows for ongoing collaboration and skill generalization.
- Occupational therapy sessions strive to facilitate functional participation and skill acquisition through a holistic approach and incorporating the child’s interests.
